Summary
We are looking for a permanent, full-time, Regulatory Specialist for our Dorval, Quebec office. The chosen candidate will be taught the regulations and will then teach to an adult audience and will eventually be responsible for course development, on site compliance audits, and production of reports. A chemical background and any experience in shipping hazardous goods, WHMIS, or OSHA will be considered an asset. Travel up to 50% may be required, and a reliable vehicle is essential for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teaching the regulations to our customers in both our classroom and in our customers' place of business
- Fielding regulatory questions from our customers
- Researching regulatory changes and keeping the course material / regulatory information up to date
- Travel up to 50% may be required and a reliable vehicle is a must for this position
- Possibility to develop the role towards providing consultancy services to our customers
Qualifications
- Is fluently bilingual, both written and spoken (English and French)
- University or college graduate with teaching skills or public speaking training
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Ability to work alone and with a team
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to demonstrate initiative
- Must be organized
