ICAO and IATA have adopted a new label that is required for many shipments of lithium batteries and batteries shipped with or in equipment. These labels allow you to indicate which type of battery you are shipping (lithium ion battery or lithium metal battery), and provides room for your phone number. This new label is now required as of January 1, 2009.
