NIAGARA FALLS, New York—April 17, 2006—For many organizations, employee productivity has a direct correlation with employee safety. Unless safety issues are properly identified and made known to employees, these issues may go on unknown to them. If left unaware, seemingly simple tasks such as wearing a hard hat, not smoking, locating eyewash stations or keeping certain doors closed can be dangerous if not adhered to.
Effective communication begins with the effective use of signs. These signs should convey the required information at the necessary location. In addition, these signs need to be easily understood and visible in order to be useful. Safety signs are a great way to identify potential hazards and when used with prudent workplace practices, it can reduce the occurrence of workplace injuries.
