Corrections to the IMDG Code, 2010 Edition (inc. Amendment 35-10) and other supplements have been released. Click here to download them.

The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code is the worldwide standard for shipping dangerous goods by sea. Amendment 36-12 is effective January 1, 2013 and becomes mandatory on January 1, 2014.

The IMDG Code is written in conjunction with government regulations under the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and was developed as a uniform international code for the transport of dangerous goods by sea covering such matters as packing, container traffic and stowage, with particular reference to the segregation of incompatible substances.

The IMDG Code is a two-volume set, and a one-volume Supplement that focuses on fires and spillage emergencies is also available. Both publications are available in English or French. The two-volume Code is also available electronically (English only) for download.
