International shipments must comply with both the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Technical Instructions as well as national regulations. In order to meet commercial standards, shippers are also required to meet the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations. Furthermore some countries and airlines have filed variations to many of these requirements. Failure to comply with any of these may result in legal charges but most importantly costly delays!
