Description
Effective January 1, 2013, this new limited quantity marking is now mandatory for domestic shipping within the United Sates, replacing the ORM-D-AIR marking.
This limited quantity marking has also been adopted by the ICAO and IATA Regulations and is required as of January 1, 2011. The marking will harmonize the ICAO and IATA Regulations with the limited quantity provisions of the UN Recommendations and replaces "LTD QTY" and the UN Number placed inside a diamond. The "Y" in the center of the marking indicates that the shipment has been prepared for air transport.
