The Compliance Center Cares
ICC Compliance Center and its employees understand the need to help those less fortunate than ourselves. We continuously support local organizations who help less fortunate families in need.
Throughout the year, ICC Compliance Center employees are permitted to dress down on Fridays in exchange for a non-perishable food item, or $1.00. The money and food are proudly donated to Community Missions of Niagara Frontier in Niagara Falls, NY; the Eden Food Bank of Mississauga, ON; and Sun Youth of Dorval, QC.
Recently, our employees raised more than $750 for the Haiti earthquake relief efforts. The Company matched the employees' efforts with a final donation of $1500 to the Red Cross. Great job everyone!
In the US
For Christmas 2009, we collected toys and toiletry items which where donated to the Community Missions annual Christmas party. More than seven containers filled with goodies were distributed to the Mission residents and guests at the party, and on Christmas day.
We also recently created and provided Easter baskets for the children of Mission families, and donated food and clothing on April 1—that's no joke!
From Community Missions regarding a recent donation delivery:
“Thank you so much for the food and clothes. Every day between 100 and 125 people come to our soup kitchen called Community Kitchen for lunch. Some come with their children. Some are elderly. Many are disabled and/or mentally ill. All are hungry. After eating, most go to our clothes closet. They get clothes and toys for their children. Sometimes they get dishes or other household goods. We could not help them without the support of good people like you. On their behalf, I thank you!!” —Don Luce, Community Missions
The office collected more than 75 toys which were distributed by the Peel Regional Police and Mississauga Fire Department to local children. In addition, more than 120 kg (265 pounds) of food were donated to the Eden Food Bank, and shipped compliments of On Course Courier.
Our office once again sponsored a family in need through fund raising events including a bake sale and a 50/50 raffle. A total of $1080 was raised and an assortment of gift cards for gasoline, movies, restaurants, groceries, and of course, the mall, were provided to the family just before Christmas.
