We know the rules, and by way of training, do our best to uphold the requirements.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But what about the \u201caverage Joe\u201d? Your neighbor, your friend, your kid\u2019s hockey coach? They have no idea what a dangerous good is.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So at this time of year, and especially this year during the pandemic, when loved ones cannot get together, your neighbor, friend, and hockey coach will order gifts online, wrap them with care, and then take them to the local ship center to be sent via carrier to their loved ones. This is all fine and dandy if it is a puzzle or a sweater. But, what if it is a cell phone, a laptop, or perfume? Perhaps a new lithium powered drill or a camping stove with extra propane?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Your neighbor, friend, or hockey coach would have <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecompliancecenter.com\/ca\/training-courses\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">no idea that those items are dangerous goods<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and forbidden for transport unless they are properly packaged, marked, and labeled. It is up to us, dangerous goods experts to be dangerous goods ambassadors\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Help keep your neighbor, friend, and kids hockey coach off Santa\u2019s naughty list. This holiday season, do your part in not only keeping employees safe but everyone around you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Stay safe, be kind.
