Transport Canada has provided an update on the Temporary Use Permits that were issued at the start of the pandemic.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The following certificates have been extended until <\/span>December 31, 2021,<\/i><\/b> or the day it is canceled in writing by the Minister of Transport:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

TU 0752.3: Hand Sanitizer\u00a0<\/span><\/td>\nAuthorizes, under certain conditions, the handling, offering for transport, or transport of hand sanitizer without complying with all applicable sections of the TDG Regulations.\u00a0<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
TU 0753.3: Canada Post Corporation Authorization \u2013 Shipping Hand Sanitizer by Air<\/span><\/td>\nAuthorizes the handling, offering for transport, or transport of hand sanitizer by the Canada Post Corporation by air to remote communities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
TU 0754.2: Transporting Hand Sanitizer by Air<\/span><\/td>\nAuthorizes the handling, offering for transport, or transportation of hand sanitizer by air, under certain conditions.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
TU 0764.1: Test Samples for COVID-19<\/span><\/td>\nTo assist medical professionals in responding to this unprecedented situation, the temporary certificate authorizes the handling, offering for transport, or transporting of dangerous goods that are COVID-19 test samples, in non-standardized packaging and without TDG training, under certain conditions.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The following certificates will not be renewed and will expire on <\/span>January 31, 2021<\/i><\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

TU 0750.1: Training<\/span><\/td>\nAllows a person with a training certificate that expires after March 1, 2020, to continue to handler, offer for transport, or transport dangerous goods with an expired training certificate, as long as the person has sound knowledge of all TDG aspects related to their duties.\u00a0<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
TU 0751.2: Testing and Inspection Requirements<\/span><\/td>\n\n

Allows means of containment, which have not been inspected or tested in accordance with Part 5 of the TDG Regulations, to be used for the transportation of dangerous goods. In order to use the temporary certificate, the inspection and test marks on the means of containment have to be visible and legible and were valid:<\/span><\/p>\n
