We encourage you to download and read the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecompliancecenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/ICC_Lithium-Battery-Guidance-Document-2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">full IATA Guideline<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">to read my previous <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecompliancecenter.com\/ca\/addendum-for-iata-dgr-62nd-edition\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">blog on the 2021 IATA Addendum<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Additions to special provisions A88 and A99, most notably the addition to not simply have the approval of the state of origin, but must now require the state of the operator approval as well.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecompliancecenter.com\/ca\/product\/lb-usi6603\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">lithium battery mark size<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> has been updated to allow the label dimensions to be reduced to 100mm x 100mm and even further to 100mm x 70mm, where the package\u2019s size prevents the application of the full-size mark.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-857835\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thecompliancecenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/ICCIATA-LithiumBatteriesShippingGuidance_001.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"626\" height=\"484\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It\u2019s important to note you can still utilize the 120mm X 110mm, but in Canada, Part 4.1A of the TDGR will allow this label to be used as long as it is referenced in either chapter 5.2 or 5.3 of the UN recommendation, which it is (5.2.1.9). He then continued to serve as a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a firefighter, where he completed a diploma in Fire Science\/ Fire-fighting from Memorial University and Occupational Health and Safety diploma from the University of New Brunswick. Lastly, in his career with the Canadian Forces, he served as a member of the Joint Incident Response Unit (CJIRU) as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Operator (CBRN Op), part of the Canadian Special Operation Command (CANSOFCOM).
