APPs are available for games, music, cooking, gardening, home repair, etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lucky for us in the Dangerous Goods industry, a few APPs are available. The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecompliancecenter.com\/ca\/product-category\/publications\/erg\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ERG Guidebook<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is one that has been available for a number of years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For years NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) has published the NIOSH Pocket Guide to Chemical Hazards, which includes information listed by CAS number or chemical name, and includes such things as exposure limits, chemical-physical properties, personal protective equipment, respiratory information, and first aid.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, NIOSH Pocket Guide to Chemical Hazards Native Application (mNPG) is available as a mobile application. The mNPG features:<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Searchable features such as chemical name, CAD number, or UN number<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saved searches<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Review of all information such as exposure limits, protective equipment, physical properties, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new APP is available in Android and Apple versions. The CDC (Center for Disease Control) has created a video <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=eIoyiqiCmI0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NIOSH Pocket Guide to Chemical Hazards App Features and Use Demo Video<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This great tool is invaluable for those writing safety plans or creating safety data sheets.
