I thought, once again, I would share something that I was not familiar with because perhaps it would be new and interesting to you as well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At a recent training session that I attended, we looked at free sources of information that help emergency responders and safety professionals. One of the most commonly known free sources of information is the North American <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecompliancecenter.com\/ca\/product\/bk-erg20bnd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Emergency Response Book<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It is available in hard copy, PDF, or as an App for tablets and smartphones. In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecompliancecenter.com\/theres-an-app-for-that\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">recent blog<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, I also told you about another APP from NIOSH, which contains the information in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecompliancecenter.com\/ca\/product\/bk-niosh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NIOSH Chemical Pocket Guide<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cameochemicals.noaa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Here is another!<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a site that is available online, in a desktop program, or in an APP for tablets or smartphones. It is produced by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), in conjunction with the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). Best of all, it is FREE!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this tool, you can search for your chemical by chemical name, CAS number, or UN\/NA number. It provides the UN number, CAS number, some physical properties, health hazards, physical hazards, chemical family, possible reactions, exposure limits, first aid, protective clothing, including breath though information. It even has some compatibility information, which is very rare to find.
