Essentiellement, un prototype de batterie au lithium est une batterie dont il n&#8217;a pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 prouv\u00e9 qu&#8217;elle r\u00e9pond aux crit\u00e8res de la partie\u202fIII, sous-section 38.3 du Manuel d&#8217;\u00e9preuves et de crit\u00e8res de l&#8217;ONU. Souvent, les fabricants de batteries cherchent \u00e0 exp\u00e9dier ces prototypes de batteries \u00e0 des installations d&#8217;\u00e9preuves afin d&#8217;obtenir la note de passage 38.3. Le probl\u00e8me est le suivant\u202f: comment exp\u00e9dier ces batteries au laboratoire si elles ne sont pas autoris\u00e9es \u00e0 \u00eatre transport\u00e9es? En mati\u00e8re d&#8217;emballage, chaque batterie doit \u00eatre emball\u00e9e individuellement dans un emballage non m\u00e9tallique, comme un sac antistatique par exemple. En outre, une fois que la batterie est emball\u00e9e individuellement, elle doit \u00eatre compl\u00e8tement entour\u00e9e d&#8217;un mat\u00e9riau de rembourrage non combustible et non conducteur d&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 comme <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecompliancecenter.com\/ca\/product\/ab-verm4\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">la vermiculite<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> ou l&#8217;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecompliancecenter.com\/ca\/product\/ab-extover\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">extover<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, pour \u00e9viter les chocs ou les mouvements pendant le transport, ou elle doit \u00eatre contenue dans un \u00e9quipement. Si le prototype est contenu dans un \u00e9quipement, celui-ci doit \u00eatre emball\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 emp\u00eacher tout fonctionnement accidentel pendant le transport du prototype. La question est de savoir quel type d&#8217;emballage ext\u00e9rieur peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 dans cette configuration. Selon 173.185 (e) (3) i et ii, l&#8217;emballage ext\u00e9rieur doit \u00eatre une bo\u00eete en m\u00e9tal, en bois ou en plastique du groupe d&#8217;emballage\u202fI, ou un f\u00fbt en m\u00e9tal, en plastique ou en contreplaqu\u00e9. Cela signifie que vous ne pouvez pas utiliser une bo\u00eete\u202f4G comme emballage ext\u00e9rieur pour exp\u00e9dier un prototype de batterie aux \u00c9tats-Unis. En outre, si la masse nette d&#8217;une batterie d\u00e9passe 30\u202fkg, vous ne pouvez en placer qu&#8217;une seule dans l&#8217;emballage ext\u00e9rieur test\u00e9 par l&#8217;ONU. Il existe une exception aux instructions d&#8217;emballage mentionn\u00e9es ci-dessus. Les <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">batteries au lithium, y compris les batteries au lithium contenues dans un \u00e9quipement, qui p\u00e8sent 12\u202fkg ou plus et qui ont une enveloppe ext\u00e9rieure r\u00e9sistante aux chocs peuvent \u00eatre emball\u00e9es dans des emballages ext\u00e9rieurs solides, des enceintes de protection ou sur des palettes au lieu de l&#8217;emballage ONU. Cependant, la batterie ou l&#8217;ensemble de la batterie doit \u00eatre fix\u00e9 pour \u00e9viter qu&#8217;elle ne se d\u00e9place pendant le transport. Les \u00e9tiquettes pour mati\u00e8res dangereuses et les documents d&#8217;exp\u00e9dition sont requis comme ils le seraient normalement pour l&#8217;exp\u00e9dition de batteries au lithium. Les documents d&#8217;exp\u00e9dition doivent comporter la mention suivante : \u00ab\u202fTransport conform\u00e9ment \u00e0\u202f<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/cfr\/text\/49\/173.185#e\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a7 173.185(e)<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> \u00bb<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Canada\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Si vous exp\u00e9diez des prototypes de batteries \u00e0 des fins d&#8217;\u00e9preuves au Canada, nous vous invitons \u00e0 consulter la disposition particuli\u00e8re <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">123<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u202fdu TMD. Cette disposition particuli\u00e8re comporte une exception similaire pour les prototypes de batteries qui ont une masse nette totale de 12\u202fkg ou plus, qui est presque exactement la m\u00eame que celle mentionn\u00e9e dans le paragraphe pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent du 49CFR 173.185 (e). Si ce n&#8217;est pas le cas, cette disposition particuli\u00e8re nous renvoie \u00e0 l&#8217;instruction d&#8217;emballage\u202fP910 des recommandations de l&#8217;ONU pour obtenir des d\u00e9tails pr\u00e9cis sur la mani\u00e8re dont les prototypes de batteries doivent \u00eatre emball\u00e9s lorsqu&#8217;ils sont exp\u00e9di\u00e9s sur un v\u00e9hicule routier, un v\u00e9hicule ferroviaire ou un navire effectuant un voyage int\u00e9rieur. Selon le P910 des recommandations de l&#8217;ONU, il est possible d&#8217;utiliser divers f\u00fbts (1A2, 1B2, 1N2, 1D et 1G) comme emballage ext\u00e9rieur ainsi que des bo\u00eetes en m\u00e9tal, en plastique, en bois et, contrairement au 49CFR, des bo\u00eetes\u202f4G sont autoris\u00e9es. Tous ces emballages ext\u00e9rieurs doivent \u00eatre au moins test\u00e9s \u00e0 un niveau de performance PG\u202fII. Comme mentionn\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment dans le 49CFR, chaque batterie doit \u00eatre emball\u00e9e individuellement avant d&#8217;\u00eatre plac\u00e9e dans un emballage ext\u00e9rieur. En outre, chaque emballage int\u00e9rieur doit \u00eatre compl\u00e8tement entour\u00e9 d&#8217;un mat\u00e9riau d&#8217;isolation thermique non combustible et non conducteur suffisant (comme l&#8217;extover ou la vermiculite) pour le prot\u00e9ger contre un dangereux d\u00e9gagement de chaleur et une pile ou une batterie d&#8217;une masse nette sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 30\u202fkg est limit\u00e9e \u00e0 une pile ou une batterie par emballage ext\u00e9rieur. La principale diff\u00e9rence, comme nous l&#8217;avons mentionn\u00e9, est que vous \u00eates autoris\u00e9 \u00e0 utiliser une bo\u00eete\u202f4G en carton ondul\u00e9 si vous exp\u00e9diez un prototype de batterie au Canada, ce qui vous donne certainement plus d&#8217;options.
