PHMSA Releases New OCFR<\/h2>\n

The dangerous goods digital wave continues! PHMSA has released its new OCFR, which is a new web-based application that will make relating to the 49CFR Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) easier for dangerous goods professionals by tying together search and link functions. The addition of this new OCFR will make researching particular rulemakings<\/span> and interpretations easier and more user-friendly.\u00a0 This tool will be helpful to those making dangerous goods shipments within or headed to The United States.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What is The OCFR Tool?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The OCFR tool is an interactive web-based application that allows users to navigate with a single click between all content connected to<\/span>. In addition, the OCFR includes a tool that allows users to sort, filter, and export search results. Besides providing the regulated community with a new way to access documents, the system also provides other tools to make it easier to understand the status of documents and identify recent rulemakings which may have impacted the documents. The OCFR tool also includes a separate tab for the Hazardous Materials Table (HMT) and Appendixes. This tab provides PHMSA’s first database version of the Hazmat Materials Table as well as tables of hazardous substances in reportable quantities and marine pollutants. The tables include dynamic search, sort, and export capabilities. Essentially,\u202fthe OCFR allows you to navigate to a part or section of the 49CFR and connect to other related content. In terms of revisions, the related content and HazMat Table are updated monthly. As of right now, the records have been updated up to\u202fOctober 31st, 2022.
