In 2025, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) is inviting public participation through a series of meetings aimed at shaping the future of international dangerous goods transport standards. These meetings offer a unique opportunity for stakeholders to voice their perspectives and help influence key decisions at the international level.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>When do The Meetings Take Place?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), through its Office of Hazardous Materials Safety (OHMS), will host a total of four public meetings in 2025 to gather input before several important international forums focused on the transport of dangerous goods.<\/p>\n<p>These meetings offer an opportunity for the public to share feedback on proposals that will be discussed by international regulatory bodies. The first meeting took place on April 9<sup>th<\/sup>, prior to the first international meeting on April 21<sup>st<\/sup> -25<sup>th<\/sup> in Delhi, India, and served as preparation for discussions within the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Dangerous Goods Panel (DGP). \u00a0Each remaining public meeting will take place approximately two weeks before the international meeting at The DOT Headquarters located at West Building, 1200 New Jersey Avenue SE, Washington, DC. \u00a0Specific information for each meeting will be posted when available on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.phmsa.dot.gov\/international-program\/international-program-overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PHMSA website<\/a><\/strong> under \u2018\u2018Upcoming Events,\u201d so stay tuned! These sessions mark the second and final round of public meetings for the 2024\u20132025 biennium.<\/p>\n<p>The ICAO Dangerous Goods Panel will review proposals that may influence the 2027\u20132028 edition of the <em>Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air<\/em> (Doc 9284). PHMSA encourages all interested parties to take part in these important discussions.
