\"\"PHMSA to Host Public Meeting on UN TDG Preparation<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA<\/strong>) has announced a public meeting to gather input ahead of the upcoming 67th Session of the UN Sub-Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG)<\/strong>. This session is critical for reviewing and potentially adopting changes to international regulations governing the shipment of hazardous materials globally.<\/p>\n

Gathering Input for Global Standards<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The purpose of the Public Meeting is to solicit feedback from stakeholders on various papers that have been submitted for consideration at the UN TDG session, which is scheduled to take place from November 24 to December 3, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The input PHMSA receives is vital as it helps shape the U.S. position during the international negotiations. Decisions made at the UN level often lead to changes in the Hazardous Materials Regulations to ensure harmonization with international standards, facilitating trade and enhancing safety worldwide.<\/p>\n

The preparatory meeting will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams<\/strong> on Wednesday, November 19, 2025<\/strong>, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EST<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Stakeholders, including industry representatives, safety professionals, and interested members of the public, are encouraged to attend and provide their perspectives.<\/p>\n
