For those who may not be familiar with the ICAO Technical Instructions, they are the internationally recognized regulations that establish the requirements for shipping dangerous goods by air. They also serve as the regulatory foundation for the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations, which airlines, freight forwarders, and shippers rely on every day when transporting dangerous goods.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>What Is a Corrigendum?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>A corrigendum is an official correction issued after a publication has been released. Rather than publishing an entirely new edition, the organization, in this case ICAO, issues a corrigendum to fix errors or omissions that were discovered after the document was finalized.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, this latest corrigendum doesn&#8217;t introduce any new shipping requirements or major regulatory changes. Instead, it focuses on housekeeping items, including corrections to paragraph numbering, formatting, cross-references, and contact information such as email addresses. While these revisions are administrative in nature, they help ensure the regulations remain accurate and easy to navigate.
