WHMIS Implementation of GHS in Canada: An Informative Overview

The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) is a system that identifies the hazards of chemical products, and communicates health and safety information on labels and material safety data sheets (referred to as Safety Data Sheets, or SDSs, in GHS) so that information on physical hazards and toxicity is available to aid in the protection of human health and the environment during the handling, transport and use of these chemicals.
