Every day, biological substances and dry ice are transported from sites such as hospitals, medical clinics and scientific research locations.

To ensure the safety of the public, special rules apply to the transport of such potentially infectious agents, as well as the cooling agents often used to preserve them. Knowing how to classify and prepare these substances correctly for transport can mean the difference between easy, effective shipments versus delays, lost data, or perished specimens.

Students who complete this course will be issued a certification which holds an expiry of 2 years, per the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and other national transportation regulations.
