What are the 7 Steps to Compliance?

At ICC Compliance Center, hazardous materials/dangerous goods training and consulting are at the core of our competence. It is our belief that training should be cost-effective, engaging and interactive. As a result, we have created a training program using our 7 Steps to Compliance philosophy. Our training programs are structured around lectures, discussions, exercises and hands-on applications. By practicing 7 easy steps, you can be sure your shipment will be in total compliance.

The foundation of the 7 steps program is that each step builds on the other, ensuring that each step is clearly identified and explained as an essential component to compliance process.

At the start of each training course, you will be introduced to the transport regulations outlining basic responsibilities of shipping. This easy to understand method aids employee understanding and knowledge retention. Often, exceptions and exemptions are reviewed as an additional component as well. Each step is designed to simplify and outline the regulations. Several of the steps include exercises to ensure each student understands the concept, before moving onto the next step.

The 7 Steps include:

1

Identification

2

Packaging

3

Marking and Labeling

4

5
